The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has received a new Official Plan from the County of Brant for a decision. The new Official Plan proposes growth and population targets, a revised community structure, and new land use policies which apply to all lands within the County of Brant.
On June 9, 2023, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Zoning Order, made pursuant to clause 47(1)(a) of the Planning Act, with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 125/23. The Minister of Long-Term Care requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order.
On June 9, 2023, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Zoning Order, made pursuant to clause 47(1)(a) of the Planning Act, with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 124/23. The City of Mississauga and Minister of Long-Term Care requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order.

On May 17, 2023, Durham Region Council adopted a new Official Plan pursuant to Sections 17 and 26 of the Planning Act by By-law 38-2023. The Durham Region Official Plan is now before the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing for a decision under the Planning Act.
