We have made a decision to amend the Rondeau Provincial Park Management Plan to allow existing leases for cottage lots in Rondeau Provincial Park to continue for an additional 14-years, to December 31, 2038.

The government brought into force a regulation under the Planning Act that authorizes landowners to stipulate that pay-on-demand surety bonds are to be used to secure municipal obligations that are conditions of land-use planning approvals. A wider acceptance of pay-on-demand surety bonds may help homebuilders to free up funds for housing projects.

Permit to Take Water No. P-300-1306194478 was issued to Alamos Gold Inc. on December 13, 2024 to amend Permit to Take Water No. Alamos Gold Inc. for mining purposes. Water will be taken from two wells at the Island Gold Mine site, located in Dubreuilville, Ontario for 3 years.

The application is for renewal of Permit to Take Water No. 6142-9L7L6N for manufacturing/dewatering purposes. This application has been cancelled on December 13, 2024.

A decision was made on December 13, 2024, to approve, without modification, the remaining parts of the Durham Region Official Plan, as adopted pursuant to sections 17 and 26 of the Planning Act, by By-law 38-2023. Notice of the Decision was issued on December 16, 2024.
