An amended ECA was issued to Pridham's Village Ltd., for approval of the establishment, usage and operation of works for the treatment of sanitary sewage and disposal of treated effluent, from the existing Villages Adjala Park located at 3774 Concession Road 5, Loretto, Township of Adjala-Tosorontio, County of Simcoe.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, this Application for Consent 58-C-213588 was given conditional approval on July 6, 2021 and was amended on February 7, 2023 for the creation of one new resource-based recreational lot in the Unincorporated Township of Conacher, District of Thunder Bay. The last date to appeal decision is February 27, 2023

We have a new policy to improve how we consider cumulative impacts from multiple air pollution sources. The policy applies to air emissions of benzene and benzo[a]pyrene in the Hamilton/Burlington area and benzene in the Sarnia/Corunna area.

The Niagara Escarpment Commission has withdrawn the proposed Amendment to the Niagara Escarpment Plan.

A decision was made on February 8, 2024 to approve, with three modifications, Official Plan Amendment 269 to the County of Oxford Official Plan, as adopted by By-law 6437-2022. The official plan amendment, as modified, is consistent with the Provincial Policy Statement and provides policy direction for agricultural land use within the County.

We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval No. 7930-CSXJA9 to Eagles Rest Estates Inc. for the construction of on-site sewage works serving the Eagles Rest Estates residential development (Phase I and Phase II) in the Township of Oro-Medonte, Ontario.

Feedback from phase 1 consultation on growing the Greenbelt including a Paris Galt Moraine study area and ideas for adding Urban River Valleys was considered. On March 24, 2022, Phase 2 consultation was launched on proposed amendments to the Greenbelt Plan and Greenbelt Area boundary regulation to add 13 new and expanded Urban River Valleys.

We have revised the Independent Forest Audit Process and Protocol. The revisions addressed recommendations from the 2023 review of Ontario Regulation 319/20 and feedback received during the comment period. The revisions improve the efficiency and effectiveness of independent forest audits across the province’s managed forests.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) sought feedback on ideas to address the unique housing needs for rural and northern Ontario municipalities. MMAH incorporated this feedback into the development of a province-wide land use planning document. MMAH has issued the Provincial Planning Statement, taking effect on October 20, 2024.
