The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-24-000057 to Frontline Gold Corporation for early exploration activities.

The decision is to issue the mineral exploration permit.

We issued this new Environmental Compliance Approval for the construction of domestic sewage disposal works, with a maximum design daily flow of 59,000 litres per day to service a four-unit building (mixed warehouse and office use) located at 1650 Halls Road North in the Town of Whitby, Ontario.

We have issued Permit to Take Water No. 4527-CJAQLE on September 19, 2022 for 12052229 Canada Inc. Water will be taken from one pond for construction dewatering purposes, located in the City of Ottawa, Ontario. The new permit expires on September 19, 2027.

We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval (air) to Stelco Inc. for a pig casting process at their integrated steel mill located in Nanticoke, Haldimand County, Ontario.

The decision to issue the instrument proposed under 012-4296 (ECA-Air) was combined with the instrument proposed under 012-4313 (ECA-Waste) into a multi-media approval that was issued on March 26, 2019.

 A decision was made to replace the one year prevent from purchase with a higher financial penalty as part of the graduated penalty approach for hunters who fail to submit a mandatory hunter report two or more consecutive times for a species.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-24-000110 to Kingsview Minerals Ltd., for early exploration activities.

The decision is to issue the mineral exploration permit.

Approval is granted to operate a Waste Disposal Site – Transfer and Processing facility at 18 Wheeler Drive, in Bolton Ontario.

We granted a new Environmental Compliance Approval for a sewage treatment works servicing 1048547 Ontario Inc. operating as Skotidakis Goat Farm.

Application 60-C-190125 was approved on October 9, 2019 subject to conditions. The effect of this application is to create a new lot for resource-based recreational use. The last date of appeal of this decision under the Planning Actis October 29, 2019.

Related application 60-C-171066 was also approved.

To make the Excess Soil Regulation more practical and focused on higher-risk movements of soil, Ontario has finalized amendments to Ontario Regulation 406/19 and the Soil Rules to remove the excess soil reuse planning requirements for projects on low-risk sites and to provide more flexibility when storing excess soil.

The 10-year Forest Management Plan (FMP) for the English River Forest has been approved and is available for inspection.

Dufferin Aggregates, a Division of CRH Canada Group Inc., application has been approved for a Class A licence to extract aggregate from above the water table.

This decision is for a new Permit to Take Water for Goldcorp Canada Ltd. Water will be taken for dewatering purposes at the Paymaster North tailings facility, located in South Porcupine, Ontario.

A new Permit to Take Water No. 4025-CL9RYP was issued to Penguin-Calloway (Vaughan) Inc. on November 18, 2022, for three years. Water will be taken from a well point system for construction dewatering purposes at 3200 Highway 7 in the City of Vaughan, Ontario.

The Company withdrew the application due to insufficient technical information.  Application was closed and no approval was issued.

Permit to Take Water No. 1280-BMEPB8 was issued on March 05, 2020 to Martinway Developments Limited for construction dewatering purposes in Markham, Ontario. The permit expires on February 28, 2022.

We have approved the renewal of Permit to Take Water No. 8703-8UBRSM for Vale Canada Limited/Vale Canada Limitée for industrial purposes.
