We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval No.1633-CQFKS8 to Charles Robert Chapman and Paula Fay Geier, for the on-site sewage treatment system servicing an existing three bedroom residential cottage at Conestogo Lake, Mapleton Township.

William Day Construction Limited has withdrawn this request and will not be moving forward with any changes to their site plan at this time and this proposal is considered closed.

The application made by C.R. Chittick Construction Limited to amend their current site plan has been approved.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has amended the Greenbelt Plan to add 13 new Urban River Valley areas and lands in the Paris Galt Moraine in Wellington County and remove or redesignate 15 areas of land.

We have approved changes to the Renewable Energy on Crown Land (RECL) policy and to rescind the renewable energy project Approvals and Permitting Requirements Document (APRD). These changes reflect current policy and approvals considerations for the management of public lands when a proposal for a renewable energy project is submitted.

Bill 215: Main Street Recovery Act, 2020 made changes to the Municipal Act, 2001 and City of Toronto Act, 2006. Ontario is updating its Guideline A-5 to align with recent federal guidance regarding the control of air emissions from stationary combustion turbines. These changes will enhance environmental protection by aligning with requirements for stationary combustion turbines eligible for the Air Emissions Environmental Activity and Sector Registry.

We have amended four producer responsibility regulations made under the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act, 2016. These changes increase flexibility, reduce burden and simplify requirements for producers.

Changes were made to O. Reg. 232/18 - Inclusionary Zoning under the Planning Act to place a maximum 25-year period for which inclusionary zoning units must be maintained as affordable, and a 5% cap on the number or floor area of residential units that can be set aside as inclusionary zoning units. 

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow St. Mary’s Cement Inc. (Canada) to increase the tonnage limit to 2,000,000 tonnes per year in the Municipality of Grey Highlands, County of Grey.

Ontario has changed restrictions on the transfer and storage of winter-grade gasoline prior to the winter switchover date by amending O. Reg. 271/91 (Gasoline Volatility). We have also added clarifications about acceptable gasoline testing methods.

The comments received by the Ontario Federation of Agriculture are consistent with the language in the Ministry of Health Statement of Environmental Values.
