A decision was made on August 16, 2024, to approve, with modifications, Official Plan Amendment No. 20 to the City of Brockville Official Plan, as adopted by By-Law No. 066-2022.Official Plan Amendment No. 20 is a ten-year update to the city's official plan and contains new and revised policies to guide growth and development to the year 2046.

A decision was made on July 31, 2025, to approve with modifications, Official Plan Amendment (OPA) 4 to the County of Dufferin Official Plan as adopted by By-law 2024-14. OPA 4 updates the detailed land use policies of the county to conform with applicable provincial plans, policies, and legislation, and accommodate anticipated growth to 2051.

A decision was made on October 9, 2024 to approve, with modification, Official Plan Amendment (OPA) 2 to the County of Dufferin OP, as adopted by By-law 2023-25. OPA 2 update the county’s population and employment figures to 2051, and implement the county’s Land Needs Assessment to conform with the requirements of A Place to Grow (Growth Plan).

This decision is for a new Permit to Take Water for construction dewatering purposes in the City of Toronto, Ontario. Permit to Take Water No. 0151-C2KSGS was issued on May 2, 2021. The permit expires on April 30, 2023.

During a file review, the ministry discovered that a decision was not posted on this proposal notice.

A decision was made on August 15, 2025 to approve, with modifications, the new County of Essex Official Plan, as adopted by By-law 2024-45. The Official Plan contain policies to establish goals, objectives and direction to guide growth and development to the 2051 planning horizon and to ensure the plan is consistent with provincial land use policy.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on November 6th, 2024, in respect of Application 60-C-231455 for an easement for access purposes on lands described as PIN 42151-0293 in the District of Kenora. The last day this decision can be appealed in November 27th, 2023

A decision was made on March 11, 2024 to approve City of Brantford Official Plan Amendment No. 5, as adopted by By-law 97-2023. The approved Official Plan Amendment No. 5 amends the City of Brantford Official Plan to redesignate lands from the Core Natural Areas Designation and Adjacent Lands Overlay to other land use designations.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on November 6th, 2024 in respect of Application 60-C-201116 for a lot addition for resource-based recreational use on lands described as PIN 42151-0323 & PIN 42151-0293 in the District of Kenora. The last day this decision can be appealed in November 27th, 2023. 

Permit to Take Water No. 5024-CYHRUW was issued to Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited on December 22, 2023 for five years. Water will be taken from 15 wells for construction dewatering purposes at 21 Don Roadway in the City of Toronto, Ontario.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow AAROC Aggregates Ltd. to remove aggregate from below the water table in a pit located in the Municipality of Thames Centre.

This is the renewal of Permit to Take Water No. 8664-75QJ2J for AquaTerra Corporation and is for water bottling purposes. The new permit No. is 2844-C82QEK and was issued on November 16, 2021 with an expiry date of November 16, 2026.

A new Permit to Take Water No. 8631-BN8N9C has been issued to Soho Champange (Phase2) Inc. on April 11, 2020 for construction dewatering located in Ottawa, Ontario. The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of June 30, 2022.

On January 4th, 2024, the licence amendment application was withdrawn by the applicant.

A new Permit to Take Water No. 2552-C72QWU has been issued to Minto Communities Inc. on September 20, 2021 for the purpose of dewatering in the City of Ottawa, Ontario. The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of September 20, 2026.

This decision is for a new Permit to Take Water. Permit to Take Water No. 4244-C23K7J was issued to The Hedbern Development Corp. on April 14, 2021 for dewatering purposes in the Township of Springwater, Ontario. The permit expires on March 14, 2022.

A new Permit to Take Water No. 3407-BPDMK5 has been issued to North Leslie Residential Landowners Group Inc. on June 11, 2020 for dewatering purposes located in Richmond Hill, Ontario. The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of December 31, 2021.

We have issued a director’s order to Algoma Steel Inc. requiring them to apply for new site-specific standards for air emissions for their Sault Ste. Marie facility by March 31, 2022.
