We are proposing to amend the Public Lands Act to reduce red-tape for clients. We have created Uxbridge Urban Provincial Park through an amendment to O. Reg. 316/07 under the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006. This will strengthen the long-term protection of biodiversity and important habitats within the park while providing opportunities for visitors to enjoy the area’s natural beauty.
We have expanded the boundaries of 23 protected areas (17 provincial parks and 6 conservation reserves) and corrected the name of Chapleau Nemegosenda River Provincial Park. These changes contribute to the long-term sustainability of Ontario’s natural heritage and provide increased opportunities for recreational activities.
An amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval No. 0469-9YUNSK was granted to St. Marys Cement Inc. (Canada), a cement manufacturing facility located in Bowmanville, Ontario for expanding the use of Alternative Low-Carbon Fuels at the facility.
