The minister has issued an overall benefit permit to HAW Limited to adversely impact 56 Category 2 Butternut trees, which are species at risk, so they can construct a residential subdivision. The permit includes actions to benefit the species, minimize adverse effects, and outlines monitoring and reporting requirements.

A new Permit to Take Water No. 5860-BU4JWB for short term construction dewatering for Mattamy (South Estates) Limited was issued. Water will be taken from two wells, located in the City of Kitchener, related to the proposed South Estates Subdivision development project.
