The ministry is moving forward with amending regulations made under the Environmental Protection Act and the Ontario Water Resources Act to streamline permissions for certain low risk short-term water taking activities. These amendments align approval requirements with the activity’s level of risk, while maintaining environmental oversight.

We have created Uxbridge Urban Provincial Park through an amendment to O. Reg. 316/07 under the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006. This will strengthen the long-term protection of biodiversity and important habitats within the park while providing opportunities for visitors to enjoy the area’s natural beauty.

We have issued an amended ECA (waste disposal site) No. A030303 for the Petrolia Landfill, a 26.02 hectares closed landfill within a total site area of 41.23 hectares located at 4052 Oil Heritage Road South, Petrolia, Ontario, for evaluation of various methane measurement technologies to be conducted by St. Francis Xavier University.

Permit to Take Water No. 3305-DQRJPL was issued to Suncor Energy Inc. operating as Suncor Energy Products Partnership on February 12, 2026, to renew Permit to Take Water No. 8233-AKULE6 for groundwater remediation purposes. Water will be taken from Multiple Well Points in the City of Sarnia, County of Lambton, Ontario for 10 years.

Permit to Take Water No. 2242-DQTNJC has been issued to Smuggler's Glen Golf Course Ltd., for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from one surface water intake at St. Lawrence River.

We approved a regulation to help advance municipal asset management planning across Ontario.

An Environmental Compliance Approval (Waste Site) was issued for a hauled sewage site as described in this decision.

An Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air) was issued to Bend All Automotive ULC, a manufacturer of engineered and non-engineered benders, jigs, and high speed automation machines.

This decision is for the renewal of Permit to Take Water No. 8035-8U5P7F for Gott Enterprises Inc. and is for water bottling purposes. The new permit No. 3568-CJGH8C was issued on Friday, September 30, 2022 with an expiry date of September 30, 2032.

Provisional consent granted subject to standard conditions on July 30, 2021. The last date to appeal the decision is August 19, 2021.

We issued an amended Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility to Magna Closures Inc. operating as Techform, a manufacturer of metal components for the automotive industry located in the Town of Penetanguishene, County of Simcoe, Ontario.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent for two lot additions was granted on August 28, 2019 in respect of the application in the unincorporated Township of Mutrie, in the District of Kenora. The last day of appeal of this decision under the Planning Act is September 18, 2019.

An Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (Air), which replaces all the current Environmental Compliance Approvals for Air, has been granted for Royal Adhesives & Sealants Canada Ltd., located in Toronto, Ontario.

A new Permit to Take Water number 3400-AU7SLU has been issued to Richcraft Homes Ltd. on February 1, 2018 for dewatering purposes located in Ottawa, Ontario. The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of December 21, 2025.

The variance is approved.

The proposal notice was posted in error. This decision notice is posted to advise that the proposal is not subject to public consultation under the Environmental Bill of Rights.

This decision is to renew Permit to Take Water No. 1431-8R9LBN for Vale Canada Limited/Vale Canada Limitée. Water will be taken from three wells for mining water supply at the Levack Wells, Township of Levack, Municipality of Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

A new Permit to Take Water No. 7318-BPHSD5 has been issued to Brookfield Country Club Limited, located in the City of Cambridge, Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Ontario on June 11, 2020 for commercial purposes. The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of February 28, 2025.

Approval has been granted for an amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval (Air & Noise) No.7419-94HSFT with Limited Operational Flexibility for Irving Consumer Products Limited, a tissue manufacturing facility located in the City of Toronto, Ontario. 

A renewal of an Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise) was issued to Apollo Health and Beauty Care Inc., for their site located at 1 Apollo Place, in the City of Toronto, Ontario. The facility manufacturers health and beauty products with a production limit of up to 148,000 tonnes per year.
