An application has been made by Owen Sound Ledgerock Ltd. to amend their site plan to allow extraction to occur below the established water table. The licensee discovered that the water table at this quarry was at a higher elevation than was originally recorded.
The proposed work program on the Griffith Quarry Project would be trenching and a bulk sampling program removing no more than 1000 tonnes, keeping the project below the threshold of advanced exploration. The location of the bulk sample is in a previously disturbed area where historic stripping and sampling has occurred.
