TSSA has completed an online consultation on the Code Adoption Document (CAD) amendments for Fuel Oil. The CAD was published on October 12th, 2021 and effective Dec. 12th, 2021.
The Fuel Oil CAD is adopted by reference in Ontario Regulation 213/01. TSSA will adopt the 2019 edition of CSA B139 series 19 Code, as well as CSA B138.1 and B138.2 (2017

In 2011, the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation, and Parks and other ministries, decided not to pursue a regulatory approach on shoreline protection and implement programs for shoreline protection. Shoreline protection projects are reported on through the Minister’s Annual Report on Lake Simcoe.

Land use planning is a process that determines the most appropriate use of land and water. We are working with Kashechewan First Nation to develop a community based land use plan for an area in the Far North. It will identify which lands will be dedicated to protection and which will be open for potential economic development.
