Authorization from the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks is required to use or occupy any land in provincial parks and conservation reserves. This regulation will allow land associated with cottage lots in Algonquin Provincial Park to be used for certain private, non-commercial purposes. (e.g., docks and swim rafts).

The amendment is to outline daytime and nighttime operation requirements
We decided to proceed with the proposed changes to reduce the minimum distance requirement for placement of bait from rights of way for public vehicular traffic and marked and maintained recreational trails for black bear hunting from 200 metres to 30 metres.

An amending regulation under the Planning Act was filed on March 5, 2018 and came into force on April 3, 2018. The regulation sets out new transition rules to deal with certain planning matters in process when the land use planning changes made by the Building Better Communities and Conserving Watersheds Act, 2017 took effect.

The fees collected for issuing Crown land dispositions such as leases and land use permit have not changed since 2003. In many cases, the cost to deliver these services exceeds the fees collected. We have updated these fees to keep pace with service costs and inflation.
