This approval is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise), for Waste Management of Canada Corporation, for a waste transfer station located in the City of Mississauga, Ontario.

This approval is for an amendment to the Limited Operational Flexibility for an Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 1227-A32Q8W for Digital Specialty Chemicals Limited, a manufacturer of custom chemicals for the electronics, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries located in the City of Toronto, Ontario.

The variance is approved.

Bill 23, the More Homes Built Faster Act, received Royal Assent on November 28, 2022. The Act amends the Ontario Heritage Act (OHA) and its regulations to reduce red tape and remove barriers that are slowing down housing construction and other priority projects while continuing to conserve heritage properties that matter most to local communities.

Minor consequential changes have been made to Ontario Regulation 299/19: Additional Residential Units. The changes are intended to bring the regulation into alignment with the Planning Act changes made by Bill 23, the More Homes Built Faster Act, 2022 regarding additional residential units.

We have issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) to be issued to Rideau Coast Holdings Ltd. for a new Class 5 system serving a year-round residence and ten cabins located at 137 Haskins Point Road, in the Township of Leeds and The Thousand Islands, Ontario.

The approval is granted for the establishment and operation of a 7.89 ha hectares waste disposal site (processing and transfer) to be used for the receipt, processing, temporary storage and transfer of solid non-hazardous waste from residential, commercial, industrial, institution and construction sites generated within the Province of Ontario.

A new Permit to Take Water No. 5524-CLWR52 was issued to DK Broadview Inc. on January 4, 2023 for 10 years. Water will be taken for long-term foundation dewatering purposes at 954-958 Broadview Avenue and 72 Chester Hill Road, located in the City of Toronto, Ontario.

This approval is granted for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (industrial sewage), issued to Vineland Research and Innovation Centre, for the establishment of sewage works as part of a proposed Tree Culture Research Park development, located at 4890 Victoria North in Lincoln, Ontario.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on January 5, 2023 in respect of Application 58-C-224688 for a new lot for resource-based recreational use on lands described as PIN 62345-0254, Unincorporated Township of Upsala, District of Thunder Bay. The last day this decision can be appealed is January 25, 2023.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on January 5, 2023, in respect of Application 58-C-225515 for a new lot for resource-based recreational use on lands described as PIN 62345-0254, Unincorporated Township of Upsala, District of Thunder Bay. The last day this decision can be appealed is January 25, 2023.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 8807-CMQMLQ to Lofty Riverside GP Inc.on January 3, 2023 for construction/dewatering and remediation purposes. Water will be taken from two ponds located in the City of Ottawa, Ontario. This new permit expires on January 6, 2026.
