The ministry has issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval to Walker BESS 4 Inc. for the establisment of stormwater management works and spill containment works servicing the proposed Almonte BESS 1 and Almonte BESS 2 lithium-ion battery storage facilities on a site located at 6299 County Road 29, in the Township of Mississippi Mills.

File was transferred to the United Counties of Leeds & Grenville on September 1, 2019 by Ontario Regulation 266/19. The Ministry was the approval authority at the time that the proposal notice was posted on the Environmental Registry of Ontario. The Ministry is no longer the approval authority and will not issue a decision.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted in respect of Application 60-C-192425 for the creation of one (1) new water access resource-based recreational lot for land described as PIN 42150-3189 on Corkscrew Island, Lake of the Woods, Unincorporated Territory, District of Kenora.

A renewal of an Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise) was issued to Apollo Health and Beauty Care Inc., for their site located at 1 Apollo Place, in the City of Toronto, Ontario. The facility manufacturers health and beauty products with a production limit of up to 148,000 tonnes per year.

On August 16, 2024, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Minister's Zoning Order, made pursuant to clause 47(1)(a) of the Planning Act, with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation 326/24 in the City of Vaughan. The City of Vaughan requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 7141-BZFN2N on April 7, 2021, which cancels and replaces Permit to Take Water No. 0042-AZ7NVH, for 2135097 Ontario Inc., located in the Town of Renfrew, County of Renfrew, Ontario.

The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of April 1, 2031.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on August 16, 2024 in respect of Application 58-C-231862 for one (1) new lot on lands described as PINs 62315-0041 and 62315-0042 on Shebandowan Lake, District of Thunder Bay. The last day this decision can be appealed is September 5, 2024.

This was a proposal to renew a Permit to Take Water for 975009 Ontario Limited, operating as The Willow's Golf & Country Club, for water taking for commercial purposes. Permit No. 1546-CV5PT5 was issued, with an expiry of October 1, 2028. Water will be taken from two wells and one pond for golf course irrigation.

We have issued Permit to Take Water No. 6322-CRQQEE on May 12, 2023 for Parkland Terminals of Canada Inc. in the City of Hamilton, Ontario for industrial purposes. The new permit expires on May 1, 2033. Water will be taken from Lake Ontario to allow the company to undertake hydrostatic testing of storage tanks.

A decision was made on April 14 2026, to approve, with modifications, a new Official Plan of the Geographic townships of Gorham, Ware and the Dawson Road Lots (Lots 1-20), Concession A and B, east of the Kaministiquia River to achieve consistency with provincial policies, and to manage and direct physical (land use) change within the planning area.

A Director's Order was issued to 2476790 Ontario Inc., Art McCaffrey's Garage & Towing Limited, Arthur McCaffrey and Kimberly Reid, to require the delineation of contamination originating from 54 Cannifton Road North in the City of Belleville.

We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval to Amico Properties Inc. for the construction of sanitary and storm sewers, and stormwater management works to service Lakeside Estates Phase 2 Subdivision, located on a property legally described as Part 1 of Reference Plan 12R27736, Lot Gore, Concession West of Puce River, Town of Lakeshore.

We are extending the current moratorium on new or increased permits to take groundwater to produce bottled water for up to 6 months, to April 1, 2021. This extension gives us time to thoroughly consider the feedback we received and further engage on how we can implement our proposed enhancements to Ontario’s water taking program.

Permit to Take Water No. 2166-D6CJXU was issued to Campfire! Bible Camp on July, 8, 2024, to renew the previous Permit to Take Water No. 7043-9JTKY9 for campground water supply purposes. Water will be taken from one (1) well, located in the Township of Euphrasia, Grey Highlands, Ontario, for 10 years.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 3222-CWSPNT for GIP Properties Corp. on November 20, 2023. Water will be taken from one well for dewatering, aggregate washing, dust control, and manufacturing purposes at the McAdoo Quarry, located in Kingston, Ontario. The new permit will expire on August 1, 2033.

This decision is for a new Permit to Take Water for Produits Forestiers Greenfirst (QC) Inc. for aggregate extraction purposes. Water will be taken from one pond to dewater a man-made gravel extraction hole located approximately 22 kilometers south of the Town of Kapuskasing along Swanson Road, Ontario.
