The Minister has issued a permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 (ESA) to the North Pickering Community Management Inc. for road construction activities that may adversely impact Redside Dace. The Minister has entered into a stewardship agreement with the Canadian Chestnut Council (the Steward) for the purpose of assisting in the recovery of American Chestnut for a 15-year period. The agreement includes actions to minimize adverse effects on the species, and outlines monitoring and reporting requirements.
