We have finalized amendments to the Pesticides Act to reduce complexity and modernize pesticide management in Ontario while ensuring human health and the environment continue to be protected.
A new Environmental Compliance Approval No. A-500-1090962013 was issued to PGC Investments Inc. for stormwater management works servicing the Bertram Industrial Parkway industrial subdivision, discharging to existing ditches on Nursery Road.
The Mining Act was amended to enable regulations to establish a “permit by rule” model, allowing claim holders to sell the end product of a bulk sample and retain proceeds, provided that certain conditions are met. There are no anticipated environmental impacts associated with this decision.
