On October 30, 2020 the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation 609/20 to permit the development of a medical innovation park in the Township of Oro-Medonte. On August 21, 2024, the Town of Ajax notified the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing that the request for a zoning order on lands known municipally as 1401 Harwood Avenue North has been formally withdrawn.
A decision was made to approve a site-specific amendment to remove certain lands in the Town of Oakville from the Parkway Belt West Plan (PBWP) and the associated Minister's Zoning Order (MZO), filed as Ontario Regulation 481/73.
The PBWP amendment is approved as Amendment no. 238 and the MZO amendment is filed as Ontario Regulation 225/22.
