We have classified the following two commercial end use products containing the new active ingredient mefentrifluconazole: Cevya (Reg. No. 33405) and Maxtima (Reg. No. 33406), as Class 2 pesticides.
This proposal is for a new Permit to Take Water for industrial purposes for R.W. Tomlinson Ltd. Water will be taken from Reids Mills Pit pond located in the City of Ottawa, Ontario.

The Minister has issued an overall benefit permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 to South Windsor Development Company Ltd. regarding residential and commercial development that will impact Willowleaf Aster. The permit includes actions to benefit the species and minimize adverse effects and requires monitoring and reporting.
The Endangered Species Act, 2007 was amended as part of the More Homes, More Choice Act, 2019 to better enable positive outcomes for species at risk while streamlining processes.
We have approved the three regulated manuals under the Crown Forest Sustainability Act (CFSA). The revisions align with the Sustainable Growth: Ontario’s Forest Sector Strategy and modernize the forest management planning and wood measurement processes while continuing to provide for the sustainability of Ontario’s forests.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 1007-B6KMUS on January 9, 2019 which cancels and replaces Permit to take Water No. 0874-7L6QM4 for IKO Industries Ltd. located in Madoc, Ontario.
The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of January 15, 2029.

The government is seeking input on creating an optional enhanced time-of-use electricity rate to encourage consumers to shift electricity use to low-demand periods, modelled after the OEB pricing pilot which included an ultra-low overnight price.

A number of amending regulations under the Planning Act were filed on March 5, 2018 and came into force on April 3, 2018. The changes to the regulations facilitate implementation of legislative changes made by the Building Better Communities and Conserving Watersheds Act, 2017.
