On January 29, 2021, O. Reg. 509/18, made under the Electricity Act, 1998 was amended to add five new products, to revise efficiency standards for televisions to harmonize with Natural Resources Canada, and to delay new standards for liquid-filled distribution transformers by two years.

An Environmental Compliance Approval (Air & Noise) has been granted to Simtor Environmental Ltd. for the operation of an industrial, commercial and institutional, and construction and demolition waste processing facility located at 113 Warren Road in the Town of Whitby, Ontario.

Application 60-C-235866 was approved on October 20, 2023 subject to conditions. The last date to appeal the decision under the Planning Act is November 9, 2023.

The site plan amendment for the Corporation of The Nation Municipality to lower the final depth of extraction in the Township of Plantagenet has been approved.

In accordance with section 21 of the Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002, the Minister has approved version 3 of the Drinking Water Quality Management Standard. These updates provide clarification, reflect current practice in municipal residential drinking water systems and enable auditing of practices used to summarize monitoring data.
