A decision was made on May 13, 2024 to approve Haldimand County Official Plan Amendment 69, as adopted by By-law 1320-HC/22. The approved Haldimand Official Plan Amendment 69 proposes amendments across a number of policy themes/sections, including natural heritage, affordable housing, and mineral aggregates, as well as mapping changes.

A decision was made on November 4, 2022, to approve, with modifications, the new Peel Region Official Plan, as adopted by By-law 20-2022. The approved new Peel Region Official Plan outlines a comprehensive framework of new and revised policies to guide growth and development to 2051. 

This was a proposal for a new Permit to Take Water for Flow Water Inc. under Permit No. P-300-1617496618, issued for 5 years. Water will be taken for production purposes from one well, located in the Town of Mildmay, Ontario.

The Minister has issued an overall benefit permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 to CU Developments Inc. for construction activities that may impact Blanding’s Turtle. The permit includes actions to benefit the species, minimize adverse effects, and requires monitoring and reporting.

Tri-County Aggregates Ltd. application for a Class A licence to extract aggregate from above the water table in a pit has been approved.

D’Arcey Sand and Gravel Ltd. was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the Township of Howick.

An aggregate licence was issued to Strada Aggregates Inc. to excavate aggregate material from a new pit operation 60.7 hectares in size. The annual tonnage is up to 1,250,000 tonnes, in combination with two existing aggregate licenses (129167 and 625155).

Kurtis Smith Excavating Inc.’s application for a licence to remove aggregate from a new pit in the County of Huron has been approved.

This approval is to amend the Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 3887-A3PN2Q for Fisher Wavy Inc., a ready-mix concrete batching facility located in the City of Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

This decision extends the expiry dates of site-specific standard for Suspended Particulate Matter for Harsco Canada Corporation's facility in Nanticoke. The proposal was posted for 45 days to allow public input on the notices to extend the existing approvals’ expiry dates. No comments were received.

We have issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval for municipal and private stormwater management works serving Muskoka Rock Company Ltd. in the Town of Huntsville, Ontario.

Permit to Take Water No. 7637-DMMRK2 was issued to The Briars Golf Club renewing Permit to Take Water No. 4275-A4SKYY for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from the Black River, located in the Town of Georgina, Regional Municipality of York, Ontario.

The Ministry issued a Certificate of Property Use No. 2467-DJ2JR2 to Cello Products Inc. for the intended residential use of the property at 300 Elgin Street North, Cambridge, Ontario.

Erie Sand and Gravel Limited was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the Municipality of Leamington.

Antonissen Trucking Inc. was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the Township of Malahide.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Telephone City Aggregates Inc., operating in the City of Brantford to change their final rehabilitation prescription.

We issued the renewal Permit To Take Water No. 0420-AAHJTY for Alamos Gold Inc. for industrial purposes. Water will be taken from one watercourse related to industrial activities, located in the Township of Matachewan, Ontario.
