The government has made legislative changes to the GO Transit Station Funding Act, Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Corporation Act and Transit-Oriented Communities Act through the Fighting Delays, Building Faster Act, 2025 (Bill 60).
Bill 5 was introduced on October 5, 2021, and if passed, would put a hold on the environmental assessment application for the Upper York Sewage Solution undertaking. The government has established an Advisory Panel to provide advice on options to address wastewater servicing capacity needs in York Region.
