The Minister has issued an Endangered Species Act Overall Benefit Permit to Dalron Construction Limited for construction activities that will impact Blanding’s Turtle. The permit includes actions to eliminate and minimize adverse effects and provide beneficial actions for Blanding’s Turtle as well as monitoring and reporting requirements.
We amended Renewable Energy Approval No. 4353-9HMP2R for the Niagara Region Wind Farm, located in the Townships of West Lincoln, Wainfleet and the Town of Lincoln within the Region of Niagara and Haldimand County. The amendment is to outline daytime and nighttime operation requirements for wind turbine T08.
Amendment 1 to A Place to Grow: Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe is now in effect. The amendment includes changes to the population and employment forecasts, the horizon year for planning, and other policies to increase housing supply, create jobs, attract business investment and better align with infrastructure.
