The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-22-000072 to The Claim Group Incorporated for early exploration activities approximately 36 kilometres southeast of the Town of Moosonee, Ontario, in the Flinch and Felst Lake Area, District of Cochrane, Northeast Region.

The decision is to: Issue

A new Permit to Take Water No. P-300-7195641053 was issued to First Vaughan Investments Limited and Smart VMC West Inc. on February 3, 2023 for five years. Water will be taken from one well for construction dewatering purposes related to a proposed mixed-use residential development located in the City of Vaughan, Ontario.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow James Brian Ross to restore the site to grade and to allow for future agricultural uses, for a pit located in County of Simcoe.

On November 25, 2022, an amendment to O.Reg. 509/18, made under the Electricity Act, 1998  was filed to update test methods, scope and/or efficiency requirements for 18 products to harmonize with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or other industry standards.

We issued an amended Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) to Drain Bros. Excavating Limited, which operates a sand and gravel quarry, located at 6830 Highway 7 in the City of Peterborough, Township of Havelock, Belmont and Methuen.

The Minister has issued an overall benefit permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007, to a private landowner so they can construct a residential home that will adversely impact Dwarf Hackberry and its habitat.

The permit includes actions to benefit the species and minimize adverse effects, and outlines monitoring and reporting requirements.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Syrier Poultry Ltd. to amend several operational details on the site plan for Licence No. 5575, operating in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim.

An amendment to the the existing Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) number 6400-D3GJFF for a Waste Disposal Site (transfer/processing) located at 2329 Royal Windsor Drive, Oakville, Ontario, has been granted.

The application was cancelled.

Application for Consent, 60-C-222103 to re-establish a rural agricultural parcel was granted provisional approval on June 14, 2023. The last day to appeal this decision is July 4, 2023.

Approval was granted for a licence amendment to allow Miller Paving Limited to increase the number of tonnes of aggregate to be removed annually for Licence No. 3851, operating in the Greater Sudbury, Sudbury Region.

Permit to Take Water No. 7864-B78LPS was issued, which cancels and replaces Permit to Take Water No. 4142-7GSL8S. The Permit was issued on February 6, 2019 with an expiry date of December 31, 2020.

Application 58-C-241428 was approved on May 6, 2025, subject to conditions.  The last date to appeal the decision under the Planning Act is May 26, 2025.

This decision is for a new Permit to Take Water for The Eastbourne Community Association to take water from Lake Simcoe for the purposes of golf course irrigation and communal water supply. Permit No.0805-BWDMW4 was issued on December 22, 2020 for a period of 10 years.

GFL Environmental Inc. has requested to withdraw their proposal for an amended Environmental Compliance Approval for a waste transfer and processing facility located in Mississauga, Ontario.

The ministry renewed an Environmental Compliance Approval (waste site) for a hauled sewage disposal site as described in this notice.

This variance request has been approved.  The client must clean, purge and fill the tanks with concrete and they must remove the fill and vent pipes.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on November 6th, 2024 in respect of Application 60-C-201116 for a lot addition for resource-based recreational use on lands described as PIN 42151-0323 & PIN 42151-0293 in the District of Kenora. The last day this decision can be appealed in November 27th, 2023.
