An amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 0303-9G8RUY has been granted to Lake Shore Gold Corp. for their precious metals extraction, crushing and refining facility in the City of Timmins, Ontario.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent for the purpose of a lot addition was granted on October 9, 2025, subject to conditions.

The Ministry issued an Environmental Compliance Approval to Kiley Paving Ltd. for the establishment of stormwater management works for the collection, transmission, treatment and disposal of stormwater runoff from a new Kiley Paving asphalt plant site located in the Loyalist Township, County of Lennox and Addington.

We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval (Air) to Lafarge Canada Inc. for the operation of a slag processing facility, located in Hamilton, Ontario.

A decision to approve all of Official Plan Amendment No. 13 to the Official Plan for the Municipality of Shuniah, as adopted by Municipal By-law 3017-18, was made on May 16, 2019.

The McCann Redi-Mix Inc. application for a licence to remove aggregate from a new pit in the County of Huron has been issued.

A Certificate of Property Use (CPU) was issued to SG Real Estate Opportunities GP Inc. for the property located at 1117, 1121, 1129, and 1133 Beach Boulevard, Hamilton, Ontario.

A decision was made on May 13, 2024 to approve Haldimand County Official Plan Amendment 69, as adopted by By-law 1320-HC/22. The approved Haldimand Official Plan Amendment 69 proposes amendments across a number of policy themes/sections, including natural heritage, affordable housing, and mineral aggregates, as well as mapping changes.

RGT Clouthier Construction Ltd. was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the Township of Laurentian Valley.

A decision was made to finalize the Black Bay Fisheries Management Plan. This plan will guide the management of fisheries resources in the Bay and includes long term goals, objectives and management actions that seek to improve the status of the Black Bay fish communities. 

A new Environmental Compliance Approval is granted to 2677212 Ontario Inc., for the establishment of a Class 5 sewage system to service a cottage located at 18860 Highway 35, Algonquin Highlands, Ontario.

Application 60-C-241295 was approved on November 14, 2025, subject to conditions.  The last date to appeal the decision under the Planning Act is December 4, 2025.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-25-000103 to Juno Corp. for early exploration activities.

The decision is to: issue the mineral exploration permit.

The ministry issued an amended Environmental Compliance Approval to Clyffe House Limited for upgrades to the existing sewage works for the treatment and subsurface disposal of domestic sewage servicing the existing seasonally operated Clyffe House Cottage Resort, located at 1010 Muskoka Road 10, Town of Huntsville, District Municipality of Musk.

We approved a new Environmental Compliance Approval (Private Sewage) No. 1433-BQNPAE for the establishment and use of a domestic wastewater treatment system at 4850 Highway 59, Norfolk County.

Permit to Take Water No. 7044-B5SLEZ was issued, which cancels and replaces Permit to Take Water No. 4363-A6BPTW. The permit was issued on January 9, 2019 with an expiry date of November 30, 2021.

The ministry has proceeded with issuance of the Certificate of Property Use (CPU) related to the property in Thunder Bay. The CPU specifies the risk management measures required for any future proposed development of the property. At this time, the current property owner is not proposing any development or a change in property use.

Formerly Jackson Harvest Farms Ltd., now Esbaugh Management Group Ltd., was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the Township of Wilmot.

This variance has been approved.
