The Minister has issued a permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 (ESA) to the Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd. for pipeline construction activities that may adversely impact Caribou (boreal population). The permit includes actions to minimize adverse effects, actions to benefit the species, and monitoring and reporting requirements.

We have approved the proposal for a renewal and amendment to Permit to Take Water No. 8760-A9PMHT for Scenic Woods Golf Club Limited. Water will be taken from one (1) watercourse, one (1) pond, and four (4) wells for golf course irrigation purposes.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing proposed legislative amendments to the Municipal Act, 2001 to transfer jurisdiction over water and wastewater to the lower-tier municipalities in Peel Region and the introduction of a new standalone statute to authorize the establishment of water and wastewater public corporations.

Ontario Regulation 161/17 and Ontario Regulation 239/13 were amended to allow short-term bridges, geotechnical investigations, and mobile wind testing and environmental monitoring equipment on public lands provided conditions are followed, including location registration. In addition, the definition of “shore lands” was amended.

We have approved amended Environmental Compliance Approval (industrial sewage) No. 4573-BR6G22 to RIC (EOR) Inc. in the City of Oshawa, Ontario.

The permit includes actions to minimize adverse effects and benefit the species, as well as monitoring and reporting requirements.

AAROC Aggregates Ltd was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit below water in the Municipality of Thames Centre.

The ministry has accepted the risk assessment for the Amherstburg Land Holdings Limited property at 381 Front Road in Amherstburg. The director has issued Order No. 2725-BTHNEE which requires the implementation of the risk management measures proposed in the risk assessment as well as additional conditions imposed by the director.

Approval has been granted to issue a renewal of Permit To Take Water No. 4367-7YZSQ5 for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from one (1) watercourse. The Permit to Take Water No. 7403-BBYHVA was issued on May 15, 2019 for a period of 10 years.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the Aurcrest Gold Inc. exploration permit application PR-20-000213 for early exploration located approximately 120 north of Lac Seul First Nation in the Casummit Lake Area and Brownstone Lake Area, District of Kenora, Northwest Region.

Decision to: Issue

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) was issued to West Windsor Power for their natural gas powerplant on Sandwich Street in Windsor, Ontario. Amendments included the removal of some equipment, addition of some exhaust fans, and re-calculated emission limits.

A new Permit to Take Water No. P-300-6184968983 was issued to 2TS GP Inc. and WCP V GP Corp., as general partners for and on behalf of 2TS WT LP on September 21, 2022 for a period of 10 years. Water will be taken from one well for dewatering purposes serving the residential redevelopment at 2 Tecumseth Street in the City of Toronto, Ontario.

This decision is for a new Permit to Take Water for construction dewatering along a section of the Finch Light Rail Transit line. Permit to Take Water No. 1184-BEFKAU was issued on September 19, 2019 for a period of four years.

This decision is to amend Permit to Take Water No.1401-AB7LS4 for industrial and miscellaneous purposes. Water will be taken from the St. Clair River to be used as cooling water and other miscellaneous uses including steam production, dust suppression etc., located in the City of Sarnia, County of Lambton, Ontario.

The applicant has requested that this application be withdrawn and the file closed. The applicant no longer requires a Permit to Take Water.

Approval was granted for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) to WrightHaven Homes Limited for stormwater management works to serve the proposed condominium consisting of 13 single detached residential units located at 112 Sideroad 19 in the Municipality of Centre Wellington, County of Wellington.
