Ontario Regulation 385/21 (General) implements amendments that were made to the Ontario Heritage Act through the More Homes, More Choice Act, 2019.The amendments and regulation come into force on July 1, 2021.

We made changes to a regulation under the Endangered Species Act to selectively extend existing conditional exemptions to eligible activities that may impact species newly classified as threatened or endangered in 2018 and 2022.
We are proposing regulatory and policy changes that would enable continued use of existing private recreation camps in provincial parks and conservation reserves, while maintaining ecological integrity.

The government is seeking input on creating an optional enhanced time-of-use electricity rate to encourage consumers to shift electricity use to low-demand periods, modelled after the OEB pricing pilot which included an ultra-low overnight price.
We are also seeking input on ways to address barriers to further enable electric vehicle adoption.

Land use planning is a process that determines the most appropriate use of land and water.
