The College of Carpenters…

The College of Carpenters and Allied Trades (CCAT) is greatly in support of Ontario’s Advanced Wood Construction Action Plan. The CCAT is a construction training institution in which over 5,000 UBC members and non-union workers receive training each year. As a leader in mass timber training in Ontario, we recognize that this action plan will create jobs for Ontarians in many sectors, including construction, as well as help our province meet its climate goals. Since we established our pilot program for mass timber training in 2019, the demand for this course has risen greatly. We know that the possibilities of advanced wood construction are endless, and we look forward to continuing to provide quality training in this sector in collaboration with the Ministry of Natural Resources and its objectives.
