It has to be said that this will go down as one of the most monumentally disastrous, wasteful projects ever indulged by a government.
If the Conservative Party wishes to live up to their "Progressive" moniker, they urgently need to rethink Highway 413.
Worldwide, governments are implementing comprehensive, integrated public transportation systems, saving their citizens much time and money, meanwhile our government is instead intent on destroying vast tracts of the best agricultural land and many wetland areas, for a highway, already assessed as a failure. History will not be kind.
There is so much evidence to show this project is unwise and wasteful, one must wonder quite why the Conservatives are so insistent on it moving forward. Added to that, this insistence on bypassing environmental assessments is deeply disturbing. Is there some nefarious intent?
Please, go and examine the myriad of ways in which truly progressive societies are moving forward with transportation, consign Highway 413 to the waste bin and properly plan for the future of our provinces public transportation system.
