Repealing the cap and trade legislation was very disappointing to me. The environment must be protected at all cost, and those who cause the greatest damage should be paying for that protection. The recent winner of the Nobel Prize already proved cap and trade is effective, and so it should continue.

Also, last year we drove down to Toronto to test drive cars at the Plug 'N Drive electric vehicle discovery centre and were particularly happy with the VW E-Golf. We were looking forward to purchasing one in the next couple of years. We've never bought a new car before, but the rebates (funded by cap and trade) made it within our grasp. Without them, we'd have to try to find a used one, which would be very difficult. Electric vehicle charging stations have been installed all over our city (Barrie, ON) - they're the way of the future. Why wouldn't we encourage people to drive them?
