I am writing to oppose Bill 4 cancelling the Cap and Trade Program in Ontario. We desperately need to work together to address climate change if we are to have any hope of mitigating some of the worst of what it will bring for us in Ontario. As such I support carbon pricing and the Climate Change Mitigation and Low-carbon Economy Act, 2016. Previous governments have done the research and the work to come up with this plan, it is a waste of money and time to not move ahead with what has been recommended and adopted. This government has a duty to act NOW on climate change!
