I am a fisherman that frequents Northern Ontario fisheries. The use of live indigenous bait in these areas accounts for the success I have had angling in the region. The proposed policy appears to be excessive and overly reactionary to the issue at hand. Please consider that the limitations proposed have a far greater impact to the affected areas then the current policy. Also consider increased fines, punishments and monitoring of the areas under review. This focuses resources on those violating the policy and avoids the removal of those who follow policy and are now hampered in an effort to enjoy angling as upstanding citizens.
