While walking at the boardwalk, I smell the stinky Coke Oven gas, which reminds me of the toxic chemicals it contains. I leave in downtown and I see the layer of dust accumulate on every inch at my home few days after cleaning. The red & blue flame from the flairs point to global warming. Oil patches in the river water every other minutes indicates how the eco system is getting destroyed. All these does not match with the statement from the government that “Canada is one of the best place in the world for living”.
And some parts of the emission, invisible and odorless are even more dangerous for the human and the nature around.
They are asking the extension of exemption to release those toxic chemicals for another 5 years. Five years is too long a duration to make people ill terminally and what is the guarantee of this time frame? 5 years of intoxication might affect 5 generations in future.
