This act is irresponsible and regressive. We have a long standing responsibility to the natural beauty of this country, and these changes only serve to exploit something we should be protecting. The unique flora and fauna of this great province deserve our respect and we should not be fast tracking anything contrary to the protection of our environment. The fact that this is even being considered is upsetting and I cannot help but feel disgusted with the prospect of selling out our province's natural beauty in this way.
We see similar patterns coming to fruition down south in the states, exploiting their natural parks and revoking clean water acts. We are Ontarians, we are Canadians, and we are not like them. We do not put a price on the sanctity of our environment, we act as stewards to protect and nurture it for future generations to come.
Please reconsider this obvious attempt to exploit our beautiful province and to further endanger already at risk animal populations in the wild. We need good things to continue to grow in Ontario, not whatever this is.
