The removal of environmental protections and the creation of regulation-free zones for development or resource extraction lead to very concerning destruction of sensitive natural spaces.
Case in point is the behaviour of Metrolinx, which seems not to have to answer to anyone, and freely goes about clear-cutting trees wherever it pleases.
