I think the government is trying to make it easier to cause harm to endangered species for the sake of short-term profit. It will clearly be too late to do any type of real assessment after construction has started. I fully understand that housing, roads, etc. are important. However, I also believe that the rules and processes in place are there for a valid reason and should be strengthened not reduced.
