The government should not be allowed to remove species from the species at risk list that has been produced by science based research. What expertise do politicians have on this subject? It opens the door to abuse of power.
The definition of habitat should include locations where animals forage. I.e. it should include all areas required to sustain the life of the species and also include a buffer zone.
What activities are permitted immediately after registration? That should be spelt out and should not include any distruction or disturbance to the area in question.
I believe it is important that we find ways to live in harmony with the earth and all its creatures. Our need for shelter and survival should not come at the cost of other living beings.
