As a concerned citizen, I am deeply worried about the proposed landfill bringing in tonnes of waste every day. This plan threatens more than just our roads and environment. it poses a direct risk to the safety and well-being of our community. i mean particularly the children who attend the only two schools in this area. Increased truck traffic on our rural roads will make them more dangerous, especially for kids walking or biking to school. The noise, air pollution, and potential for accidents could make it unsafe for children to go about their daily routines. Plus the environmental risks like contamination of our water, soil, and air. These factors could have long-lasting effects on the health of everyone in this community, including our young students. The health and safety of our children should be a top priority, and we cannot afford to gamble with their future. We need a full environmental assessment to understand the full extent of the risks before proceeding with a project that could put so much at risk, especially our local schools and the children who depend on them.
