While I understand that new housing is necessary and we are entering a time that demands rapid economic growth, I as a citizen of Ontario am not comfortable with how strongly this proposal implies that it is okay to kill or harm endangered speicies as long as you've registered the activity first.

Environmental responisibility has been a key part of our identity as Canadians for as long as I have been alive to experience it. This is not the time to abandon that piece of our soul, even--perhaps especially--in the name of profit.
