I am disappointed to see the changes proposed to the Endangered Species Act and the proposal for the Species Conservation Act. This proposal is extremely harmful to Canadian wildlife and is questionable regarding the rights of individual Ontarians. With the current political concerns occurring across the border, Canadians are seeing first hand what happens when a Government cuts out red tape in the US. It is sad and very disheartening to see Ontario following the US example. I hope that the Ontario Government reconsiders these changes and proposal. I hope the Ontario Government will consider the majority of Ontarians and the impact this bill will have on the future of Ontario’s wildlife. These changes will negatively impact our environment and will not solve the housing crisis.
