Allowing this proposal, will allow larger companies and corporations to bypass all protections in place for local wildlife, so we can put profit above all else. In Dresden, ON this proposed change will allow York1 and partners easier access to bypass environmental assessments and build a 60+ acre landfill right along the town limits. The landfill will be located right next to the Sydenham river, which is home to several endangered species. Please say no to these changes, this proposal is a mask to cut the red tape to allow business and development to take what they want, where they want. It is not about saving anything, it's about allowing the removal or destruction. When did business become more important than people and the local ecosystems in which they live?
