Wildlife cannot survive with only their "dwelling" protected. Imagine someone came and took all of your house except the bedroom and expected you to live and thrive. The Endangered Species Act is vital to conservation. If it takes too long, hire more people to get the work done quicker. Canadians care about wildlife. Further, human wellbeing is connected to nature and wildlife wellbeing. Removing this act will harm humans through less access to nature (nature benefits mental health), less water storage and filtering (from destruction of forests, wetlands, etc.), and make us less resilient to climate change.
