I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed bill, which I believe will significantly harm the environment in Niagara and across Ontario. The natural landscapes, water systems, and biodiversity in this region are not only ecologically valuable but also vital to the health and well-being of our communities.
This bill threatens to undermine critical environmental protections, open the door to unsustainable development, and diminish public oversight in decision-making processes. The Niagara Region is home to unique ecosystems and species that cannot be replaced once lost. We must prioritize long-term environmental stewardship over short-term economic gain.
I urge the government to reconsider this bill and instead work collaboratively with environmental experts, local communities, and Indigenous leaders to create legislation that protects our natural heritage while supporting sustainable development.
Please do not sacrifice Ontario’s environmental future.
Sincerely,
A very concerned citizen.
