I do not support Bill 5.
It is extremely worrying that it is proposing removing checks to ensure projects do not affect species protected under previous acts, and that the government can choose what species is or isn't endangered. To me, this reads as someone looking to add a loophole to destroy protected habitats by claiming the species are no longer protected, regardless of actual scientific status.
This will be disastrous to the environment and endangered species if approved. Projects should be done with environmental consciousness. Should we not care for the one and only planet we have?
