I strongly oppose bill 5. I want Ontario to have strong environmental protections including that of endangered species. I oppose the idea that industry would have shortcuts with no public oversight. There should be no overwriting of the law to have special “economic zones”. Our land and our environment matter, and should not be divided for development of any kind. These laws are in place for a reason. In a time where greenhouse gas levels are rising and we already have so much global warming it is imperative that we protect these spaces and these species as a province, a nation, and a global community.
