I believe the 2007 ESA is important and we should not change it to make construction easier to transpire. This act is there for a reason to protect our environment, we are all living here together, we are not superior to these endangered species and we should live in harmony with them. Instead of I believe we make our existing infrastructure better and more useful without extending the impacts of urban sprawl. Especially if it means harming or removing endangered species. I believe it is just as important to have environmental assessments in proposed construction sites as is these workers have safety equipment for working. Furthermore, I want to know specifically what criteria would remove an endangered species off the list, would I be because the species is doing better or that we what their home. Please think about the others and not just want we want and creating shortcuts. I hope as an Ontario resident that this is actually read and really thought upon. Thank you!
Therefore, I oppose bill 5. I want stronger environmental protections and the protection of endangered species. I oppose shortcuts for industry. I oppose overriding the law in special economic zones.
