I strongly oppose the proposed changes to Ontario's Endangered Species Act and Species Conservation Act. These changes are designed to serve industry interests at the expense of the environment, public accountability, and the land we all depend on. I demand stronger protections for species and habitats—not weaker ones. ‘Overall Benefit’ is not a substitute for real habitat conservation. I reject any shortcuts for industry and any development pushed through without public oversight. I am especially opposed to exempting special economic zones from these critical environmental laws.
