I oppose bill 5. It is crucial that we protect the beautiful flora and fauna unique to our nation, especially those endangered. It is equally important that we respect treaty laws and make a conscious effort to proceed with any kind of industrialization with great consideration of the health of the environment as well as the health of Canadians. Damage from poorly planned, unregulated, and rushed projects that will completely transform areas will have LONG TERM consequences and cannot not be easily reversed (or at all). It should NOT be up to the government to decide if a species is to be taken off the list. This would open up potentially severe consequences and should continue to be reviewed by people who are actually qualified instead.
