I oppose any changes to the ESA, 2007 that would remove, undermine, or weaken protections for endangered species that live, migrate, or stop over in Ontario! Habitat for animals, plants, and other organisms, especially endangered ones, should be protected and, where possible, improved. Development and economy projects should not be prioritized over the well being and survival of a species.
Please do not change the definition or legal protection of endangered species and their habitats.
Consider instead incentives that encourage meaningful endangered species protection, habitat retention, and indigenous engagement.
We do not need an economy focused on exponential growth. It’s not possible. Let’s move towards a sustainable, circular economy that respects life, livelihood, and well being of all.
