I support the MNR’s proposal…

I support the MNR’s proposal to develop a new fishing and hunting licensing system including modernizing fishing and hunting license products and processes. Having the option to use mobile technologies and modernizing game tags are added benefits; however, it will be important to ensure enforcement is sufficiently engaged on this front. One missing aspect I would like to see is including trapping licenses under the new licensing system including year-end harvest reporting. This is long overdue and a great opportunity for improving the current outdated system. That said, I expect OFMF will be opposed to this idea and resistant to change.
