I support some but not all of this proposal. The addition of mobile technology, enabling the digital submission of hunter accreditation, use of digital game tags, and development of an outfitter portal would offer more opportunities for people to interact with Ontario's licencing system and reduce waste. It's simple and has virtually no downside.
In contrast I see no reason to alter the eligibility requirements for a general falconry license (#1) and do not support this change.
I strongly disagree with the proposal to eliminate the requirement for a licence to hunt fox by a fox hunt club. The proposed change would reduce burden on a very small number of relatively wealthy people who undertake an outdated method of hunting that was banned in England, Scotland, and Wales over 20 years ago. There is no compelling social, economic, or ethical reason to make fox hunts easier.
